Richmond vs Sydney Swans Preview

Richmond continued their premiership form from last season, with a comfortable 29-point triumph over Hawthorn.

The Tigers cruised their way to an easy four-points on Sunday afternoon, showing all the positive signs to have another successful premiership campaign.

Dustin Martin and Jack Riewoldt don’t look like they’ve put a foot out of place at the start of the season, with Martin rising to be the Brownlow medal favourite and Riewoldt kicking eight goals.

Meanwhile, Sydney continued their good start to the season with a six-goal victory against the Crows.

John Longmire has removed the stereotype of the Swans boring low scoring style of football. His side has been the highest-scoring team so far this season, with plenty of young talent on display.

The Swans will cluster the Tigers forward 50 to restrict the freedom of movement for dangerous forwards Riewoldt and Tom Lynch.

Rising Star favourite Errol Gulden has surprised many so far this season. He will face his toughest test yet against reigning premiers Richmond at the home football.

Despite Sydney’s strong performances this season, Richmond is hard to look past in this clash.

Tigers vs Swans Team News

The Tigers could make a couple of changes with Nick Vlastuin and Bachar Houli possible inclusions into the line-up.

Due to the Swans positive start to the season, you can expect them to make minimal or no changes for Saturday’s match.

The two sides last met in Round 6 last season which saw the Tigers win by 8 points.
