West Coast vs Richmond Preview

West Coast fell to their fifth defeat this season and their second in back-to-back weeks against the Swans and most recently against the winless Power by 84 points at Adelaide Oval.

The Eagles managed to kick just a mere 33 points against one of the most defensively unstable teams this season. However, they will regain Andrew Gaff and Jeremy McGovern, but there will be more players missing Friday night’s blockbuster through health & safety protocols.

Similarly, the Tigers were also on the losing end of a result for the second consecutive week after falling short against the reigning premiers by 22 points despite their best efforts.

Although Damien Hardwick’s outfit led for stages throughout the match, they were never truly in the contest going at 35% inside 50. It was largely down to the reigning premiers inaccuracy in front of goal, resulting in back-to-back disappointing on-field performances. It is time to get their season back on track against a depleted West Coast.

Although the Tigers haven’t been in the best of form in recent weeks, they should be able to get the four points despite travelling to Western Australia, as the Eagles try and get a grip on ongoing team selection issues.
