West Coast vs Geelong Preview

West Coast enjoyed a week’s break following eight consecutive losses before the bye. The most recent was the least damaging, in a 31-point loss against the struggling Crows.

In fact, it was the first time they didn’t lose by more than 50 points in that losing streak. Not only that, but it was also the only time they conceded less than 100 points as well.

Meanwhile, Geelong will return from the bye in opposite fortunes, having won three matches on the trot against Port Adelaide (35 points), Adelaide (42 points), and Western Bulldogs (13 points).

The Cat’s tall forwards were predictably at it again in that clash, with the pair sharing eight goals between and Jeremy Cameron kicking six. He currently sits just one goal behind Coleman Medal leader Charlie Curnow and will be eyeing a big bag against the leaky Eagles.

Chris Scott’s outfit tore apart the Eagles in the previous meeting by 97 points in a monster 61-point second quarter, and I believe a similar fate awaits hapless West Coast on Saturday despite the home ground advantage.
