Western Bulldogs vs North Melbourne Preview

The Western Bulldogs will be out to bounce back after going down to Adelaide in Round 23 by 39 points. That loss puts pressure on the 7th placed side to hold their spot in the eight and they can ill-afford a shock defeat to the 17th placed North Melbourne.

The Kangaroos have won just three games this season and looked home and hosed against West Coast in Round 23 before losing control in the dying stages, conceding a 13-point lead with less than two minutes on the clock to go down by five points.

That came despite the work of Tristan Xerri, Harry Sheezel and Colby McKercher, who all had 30+ disposals. Since the bye in Round 13, Alistair Clarkson’s side have won three games, while three of their seven losses have been by less than a goal.

They can compete well against the Bulldogs, who will need a lift from their forwards, including Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, Cody Weightman and Aaron Naughton, who could only manage a goal between them last weekend. A win for the Dogs will see them end the round in either 6th or 7th position, while a loss could see them slide outside the eight.
