Western Bulldogs vs Adelaide Preview

The Western Bulldogs repaid themselves after their disappointing loss to the Tigers the week prior by cruising past North Melbourne by 68 points on Good Friday. There were career-highs for both Bailey Smith (43 disposals) and Cody Weightman (five goals) throughout the win.

Luke Beveridge’s side will be full of confidence that they can get the four points on Saturday based on their previous history against Adelaide. They have won the previous three meetings by 46 points on average, two of which were at Mars Stadium.

Similarly, the Crows also returned to winning ways when they found a way past heavyweights Richmond by 19 points last time out. Taylor Walker booted five majors to back up his four the week prior and could be crucial considering the injuries that plague the tall Bulldogs defenders.

The midfield battle will be the most intriguing to watch out for, with both sides possessing deadly ball magnets. If Adelaide can get on top in that area of the ground, they will have every chance.

Although both sides enter the match in identical form, the Bulldogs are the obvious favourites in this encounter. Considering the match is being played in Ballarat, a venue the Dogs have destroyed the Crows in previously, we’ll back them to get the job done again.
