Gold Coast have once again struggled with their consistency – they defeated top four sides the Storm and Broncos throughout the year, but just one win in their last nine games means they tumbled out of finals contention a while ago.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have endured another nightmare campaign that somehow keeps getting worse, with the club in the headlines all week for all the wrong reasons.
