The Doggies and Tigers get our Super Saturday started with a clash at Accor Stadium this weekend.

The Dogs will be fresh and ready to go after a bye in Round 8 while the Tigers will be licking their wounds and hoping to bounce back from a 34-10 dismantling by the Brisbane Broncos last week.

Both these sides have seen significant improvement from 12 months ago. This time last year, these two teams were 16th and 17th on the ladder respectively but in 2024 we have seen some refreshing and promising performances.

Cameron Ciraldo’s men come into this game as heavy favourites over the Tigers. At the time of writing, Canterbury are $1.37 compared to the Tigers $3.13 and it’s hard to argue with the bookies here.

The Dogs have been quite lucky on the injury front this year and have started to show fans that they are building towards some big things in 2024 and beyond.

There were heaps of positives to take out of their Round 7 36-12 win over the Knights and with a week off in between now and then – they should get stuck in into Wests here.
