Roosters vs Warriors Preview & Prediction

The Roosters are aiming for their fifth consecutive victory against the Warriors when the two sides clash at the SCG on Easter Sunday.

It hasn’t been the best start to the season for the Roosters, but they’ve won three of their last four games, including back-to-back wins in Queensland over the Cowboys and Broncos, while they also knocked over Manly at this ground last month.

Luke Keary continues to get match fitness under his belt after injury his ACL last year and Roosters fans will be hoping his partnership with Sam Walker improves as the season goes on.

The Roosters almost suffered a big upset at the hand of the Broncos last week after failing to score a point in the opening half, so Trent Robinson will no doubt be demanding a better start on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Warriors couldn’t have asked for an easier draw over the first five rounds and they’ve taken advantage, winning three of those games to begin the round in the top eight.

It was looking grim for the Warriors after they lost their first two matches to the Dragons and Titans, but victories over the Tigers, Broncos and Cowboys sees them bring winning momentum into this clash.

However, this is a massive step up in class for the Warriors and it’s unlikely they will be up for the challenge if recent results between these teams are anything to go by.

VERDICT:

The Roosters haven’t hit their best form yet, but a dry track at the SCG on Easter Sunday against a team they’ve dominated in recent times is the perfect stage for them to produce their best performance of the season.

As mentioned, the Roosters have won the last four games between the teams by an average of 24 points, so back the tricolours home for a comfortable win here (Best Roosters 13+ margin odds $1.72 with Ladbrokes.)
