Titans vs Cowboys Preview and Prediction

After climbing into the top eight last week, the Titans will be determined to stay there by the end of Round 21 when they come up against the struggling Cowboys on Sunday.

Gold Coast have been inconsistent all season after being touted as a team to watch at the start of the year, but they’ve fond some form over the last month, winning three of their last four matches.

When they get it right, the Titans are one of the best attacking teams in the NRL, with their last three wins all coming by 22 points or more.

David Fifita is back to his best and he will once again be looking to do some damage through the middle at Cbus Super Stadium.

With games against the Rabbitohs and Storm to come, the Titans know they must take these opportunities against teams in the bottom eight.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are almost certainly done and dusted for 2021 and come into this clash on the back of a seven-match losing streak.

North Queensland made their way into the top eight mid-season, but their dismal away form has come back to bite them, with the team winning just one match outside of Townsville all season – and that came against the Tigers back in April.

With their struggles on the road in mind, the Cowboys will do well to avoid an eighth straight defeat on Sunday.

VERDICT:

It’s time for the Titans to step up if they want to feature in the finals and this game at home against one of the NRL’s battling sides who struggle on the road looms as the perfect chance to make a statement.

Considering these two teams are some of the worst defensive sides in the competition, we should see plenty of points, but the Titans are the superior side at home (Best Titans win & over 46.5 points odds $1.88 with Ladbrokes).
