NRL Round 12 Preview & Predictions 2026

NRL Round 12 Preview & Predictions 2026

NRL Round 12 is the representative round — the lead-in to State of Origin Game 1 on Wednesday 27 May at Suncorp Stadium. Seven teams have a bye to rest their Origin-bound players (Panthers, Roosters, Knights, Sharks, Broncos, Eels and Wests Tigers), leaving just five matches across the weekend. The reshuffled lineups make this one of the trickiest rounds of the year for tipping — and one of the most opportunity-rich for value bets. If you missed the wrap, catch up here: NRL Round 11 Magic Round results.

After Magic Round, the ladder picture is sharp. Penrith remain untouchable at 10-1 (+203 points differential), the Warriors look the most-likely team to push them for the minor premiership, and the chasing pack of Dolphins, Sea Eagles and one of Cowboys/Knights/Sharks all look top-six bound. Below the line, Storm have rebounded sharply from their R9 slide with back-to-back wins, while the Eels’ season is teetering.

These NRL Round 12 predictions account for the representative-round disruptions: thinner forward packs, key Origin players rested, and reshaped halves combinations. The teams that have managed their squad depth all season are the value plays. Let’s get into the matchups and the NRL tips for the rep round.

Raiders vs Dolphins

Prediction: Dolphins to win by 1-12 points

The Thursday-night opener. The Dolphins (8-3) are flying — four wins from their last five and the most-improved attacking side outside Penrith. The Raiders (4-7) are stuck in the bottom-half of the table but have shown they can win at home, having beaten the Titans there in R9. The Dolphins lose Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and a couple of forwards to Origin selection (Maroons), but Wayne Bennett’s structural depth has been the most-reliable trait of their 2026 season. Expect a tight contest where the Dolphins’ edge attack is the difference. Dolphins at typical $1.45-$1.55 — back the road favourite, but the line (under 12.5) is the value.

Bulldogs vs Storm

Prediction: Storm to win by 1-12 points

The most-watched game of the round on paper. The Storm (4-7) have rebounded sharply — back-to-back wins after their R9 slide and Cameron Munster back to his best. The Bulldogs (5-6) are sliding — three losses in their last four. Both sides lose key players to Origin (Munster and others on rep duty for Melbourne; Stephen Crichton for the Dogs), but the Storm’s depth has been one of the better-managed in the comp. Expect a defensive grind that the Storm edge out with a late try. Storm by 1-12 is the play — Bellamy’s side at typical $1.65-$1.75 has value at the line.

Head-to-head: Bulldogs vs Storm prediction & H2H record →

Dragons vs Warriors

Prediction: Warriors to win by 13+ points

The most-mismatched fixture of the round. The Warriors (8-3) are the second-best team in the competition behind Penrith and have just thumped the Broncos 42-12 at Magic Round. The Dragons (3-8) sit firmly in the bottom four with no genuine path to the eight. The Warriors lose some Maroons (Reuben Garrick) to Origin selection but their Kiwis players remain available, and the depth is structurally well-managed. Warriors by 13+ is the lead pick — at typical $1.30-$1.40 the win is short, so the line is where the value is.

Head-to-head: Dragons vs Warriors prediction & H2H record →

Sea Eagles vs Titans

Prediction: Sea Eagles to win by 13+ points

A get-right game for Manly at 4 Pines. The Sea Eagles (8-3 after their 46-18 Magic Round demolition of Wests Tigers) are firmly in the top-four conversation and have been the most-consistent edge-defence team in the league. The Titans (3-8) have been competitive at home but never on the road, and 4 Pines is a venue where Manly have built a fortress record. With Tom Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans both available (no Origin call-up disruptions for the Sea Eagles’ spine), expect a comfortable 20+ win. Sea Eagles by 13+ is the play.

Head-to-head: Sea Eagles vs Titans prediction & H2H record →

Cowboys vs Rabbitohs

Prediction: Cowboys to win by 1-12 points

The Sunday closer. The Cowboys (7-4 after their R11 upset of the Roosters) are riding form and have the home-ground edge at QCB Stadium. The Rabbitohs (6-5) are slipping — three losses in their last four — and the Origin period is the worst possible time for Souths to find form, with key Blues players (Latrell Mitchell, Cameron Murray) on rep duty. Cowboys at typical $1.55-$1.65 is the cleanest play; the line should sit around 5-6 points. Cowboys to win in a tight one.
