Eels vs Wests Tigers Preview & Prediction

The Eels have their sights set on piling more misery on the struggling Tigers as the two sides close out the Easter weekend of footy at CommBank Stadium on Monday afternoon.

Parramatta are flying high in fourth spot on the ladder after four wins from their five games, including a memorable golden point triumph over the Storm, while the Tigers are rock bottom with a 0-5 record and mounting pressure with each passing week.

The Eels have scored the most points out of any side in the competition and are thriving on the back of some excellent work by halves Mitch Moses and Dylan Brown.

With an excellent record at CommBank and an enormous 48-14 victory over the Dragons in their last game at the venue, the Eels will be targeting more points and another big win here.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are a club in shambles and have been for quite a while now.

Michael Maguire surely won’t be in the job for much longer if the Tigers continue to post up the ‘Ls’, with the club now having lost their last eight matches dating back to last season.

The Tigers have put in some effort in defeats to the Storm, Warriors and Titans, all of which were by 1-12 margins, but they’ve also looked deflated in heavy losses to the Knights and 30-4 to the Sharks last week.

VERDICT:

The Tigers are bottom of the ladder, winless in eight games and have lost their last seven games against the Eels. Looks like another loss for the embattled joint-venture club on Easter Monday.

Parramatta are a different beast at CommBank and almost put 50 points on the Dragons a couple of weeks ago. They should go close again against the competition’s resident battlers (Best Eels win & over 42.5 points odds $1.95 with Ladbrokes.)
