Dolphins vs St George Illawarra Dragons Preview & Prediction
It’s a fantastic opportunity for the Dragons to win back-to-back games to open a season for the first time in six years when they face the Dolphins on Sunday.
St George Illawarra launched the Shane Flanagan era in style last week, absolutely crushing the Titans by a 28-4 score.
Tyrell Sloan bagged himself a hat-trick and Zac Lomax crossed from the wing, while Kyle Flanagan enjoyed a great debut for the Dragons, also scoring a four-pointer.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins were woeful in their season opener, conceding 43 points as they went down to the Cowboys.
It continued a poor run of form from last season, with the Dolphins now having lost 11 of their last 13 games.
Wayne Bennett has already swung the axe, with Isaiya Katoa coming into the halves in place of Sean O’Sullivan.
VERDICT:
The Dolphins were terrible last week – they missed countless tackles and leaking 43 points in Round 1 is never a good sign. The halves again look like an issue.
The Dragons by contrast were sensational and if they can reproduce that effort, they should come away with the two points (Best Dragons win H2H odds $1.85 with Dabble.)
