Wests Tigers vs Dolphins Preview & Prediction
Both the Tigers and Dolphins have the opportunity for a rare win when they lock horns at CommBank Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
It’s been another nightmare season for the Tigers, who are set to claim another wooden spoon with just three wins all season.
However, the Tigers have been playing better footy as of late, pushing top eight sides in the Raiders and Warriors all the way over the last fortnight.
With Luke Brooks and Api Koroisau getting some matches under their belt, the Tigers have improved in all aspects and will be confident of claiming just their fourth win of the season here.
The Dolphins have been terrible for the last few months now, coming into this clash having won just one of their last nine matches.
Their depth was always going to be tested in their debut season and the Dolphins simply don’t have the roster to be competitive right now.
It only gets tougher here, with Kenny Bromwich, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Ray Stone, Jeremy Marshall-King and Connelly Lemuelu all sidelined for this game.
VERDICT
Can’t back the Dolphins, but also tough to tip the Tigers with any sort of confidence either – although I do think they should prove too strong in Sydney.
Our best bet is David Nofoaluma to score a try – the Tigers winger should get plenty of opportunities out wide against a vulnerable Dolphins defence, while he has a great record at CommBank, scoring 15 tries in 17 games and crossing in each of his last five straight (Best David Nofoaluma anytime tryscorer odds $1.72 with bet365.)
