Brisbane Broncos vs Canberra Raiders Preview & Prediction

This could potentially be one of the best matches of the round as the Broncos welcome the Raiders to Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.

Brisbane have been excellent at home in recent times, winning eight of their last nine at the venue, but the Raiders have been surprise packets in 2024 and have won four of their last six meetings with the Broncos.

Written off as wooden spoon contenders at the start of the season, the Raiders are flying high in third spot on the ladder and are coming off a golden point triumph over the Titans.

It remains to be seen if Canberra can maintain this sort of form throughout the season, but this will be a big test of their credentials.

With Reece Walsh back from injury, the Broncos steamrolled the Dolphins in the second-half to get back to winning ways last week with a 28-14 triumph.

Brisbane have played some quality footy all season, but they don’t have much to show for it, languishing outside the top eight with a 3-3 record.

Injuries to key players haven’t helped their cause, with Adam Reynolds and Payne Haas still sidelined.

VERDICT:

I’m expecting a cracking contest here with plenty of attacking football on display.
